Richard “Rick” Helton, DC
Dr. Helton is our Chiropractic Physician on staff and our Clinic Director. He has been practicing in Brevard County for 20 years. Dr. Helton received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree in 1998 at Life University and completed his undergraduate work at Salisbury State University in 1992.
Dr. Helton has a strong athletic background beginning with his college football career. Prior to becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Helton practiced as an Exercise Physiologist. Dr. Helton continues to be interested in helping athletes attain peak performance and minimize playing time lost to injury. Dr. Helton has been the spring training chiropractor for the MLB Washington Nationals and has helped many other professional athletes from Baseball to Golf.
Dr. Helton’s love of sports spills over into his personal life where he has served as a board member and coach for youth football and youth baseball for over 10 years. Dr. Helton is very involved in the community and shares this journey with his wife and 2 sons.
Dr. Helton is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the Vice President of the Brevard County Chiropractic Society. Dr. Helton practices with conservative treatment methods in mind and always tries the least invasive means possible to promote health and wellness for his patients.
John “Jay” Madlener, MD
Dr. Madlener is our Medical Director and is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a physiatrist and trained in the diagnosis, non-surgical treatment and the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal (muscle and bone) conditions.
Dr. Madlener attained his M.D. from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1999 and his undergraduate degree in Biology at Barry University. Dr. Madlener is a member of the Brevard County Medical Society. He enjoys “Orlando City Soccer” games, tennis, fishing, and running 5k races with his wife and 2 children. Dr. Madlener has a passion for healthy living and rehabilitation and wants the very best for his patients including a pain-free and productive life.
Logan Monteleone, DC
Dr. Logan Monteleone is Brevard Therapy’s newest addition and a 321 local! Growing up in Melbourne, Dr. Monteleone attended Ascension Catholic School, Eau Gallie High School, and got his A.A. from Eastern Florida State College. Dr. Monteleone completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Florida in 2021, then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic in September 2024.
Dr. Monteleone is passionate about providing chiropractic care for everyone. He is very keen on making sure his patients are comfortable and understand everything that goes on during their treatment. Dr. Monteleone focuses on conservative treatment approaches and prioritizing what is best for his patients.
Dr. Monteleone is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association. Outside of the office, he is a parishioner at Ascension Catholic Church, enjoys working out, watching sports and spending family time with his wife, two dogs, and two rabbits!
